School-Year Program
School-Year Program
The school-year program coincides with the Millcreek Township School District’s schedule, beginning the first day of school and ending the last day of school.  Throughout the school year, activities are planned around weekly themes.  In March, the center plans a “Think Spring Carnival” luncheon, for the children and members of their families.

Before and/or After School Program (Kindergarten through the 5th grade)

Vans transport the children to and from the following Millcreek schools: Asbury, Grandview, Montessori Regional Charter, Ridgefield, and Vernondale; and transports children from Tracy back to the center.  In both the morning and afternoon programs, the children have the opportunity to play in one of the many centers, make a craft, and spend time in our gym, or weather permitting, outside.  The children who attend our after school program, are provided a snack and a quiet room is available for those who like to do homework.  The center is also open for full-day care for an additional fee, during Millcreek school closings, except major holidays.  On these particular days, the center plans special activities and field trips/outings.

Pre-K Program (Ages 3-5)

Children must be potty trained to attend this program.  Throughout the day, children are provided with free play and structured activities.  Our preschool academics program is based on the “Fireflies FunShine Express Learning Curriculum”, which is based on Pennsylvania’s Early Learning Standards set by the PA Dept. of Education.  Schedules are posted.  Throughout the school year special events, field trips and special activities are planned.  Morning and afternoon snack is provided.

Toddler Program (25-37 Months)

Throughout the day, the children are provided with free play and structured activities; such as arts and crafts, coloring, gym or outside play, music, academics (colors, shapes, numbers), modeling clay, story time.  A schedule of activities is posted.  Children do not have to be potty trained to attend the program.  Potty training is part of the daily curriculum.  Two year old children do not have to go on field trips.  Parents are expected to provide the following items: extra change of clothing, diapers, baby wipes, and packed lunch.  Morning and afternoon snack and drink are provided.

Summer Program
Summer Program

Summer is a time for fun.  Outside play, water play, field trips/outings, crafts, movies, special speakers, and guests, different activities, weekly themes and special events.  The enter has an age appropriate playground for children 3-6 years old.  For elementary children, the center is permitted to use Montessori Regional Charter’s playground.  The gym is available for days when the weather is bad.  Throughout the summer, the children, except toddlers, are taken on field trips/outings.  Monthly calendars are provided to keep parents informed of the planned activities.  Morning and afternoon snack is provided.  On the last day of our summer program, we have an “Appreciation Picnic” from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for all the children and their families. There is lots of food, games, prizes and music.
